KTB Kicks Off Campaign to Recover French Tourism Market
Kenya Tourism Board has launched a recovery campaign for France, one of the major traditional source markets for the tourism industry.
KTB is hosting more than 10 leading French international travel agents and writers in a week-long familiarisation tour in a bid to market the country in Europe.
The agents who arrived in the country Friday include the top three tour operators selling Kenya in France - Vacances Transat, TUI France and Kuoni.
The trip is part of KTB's Sh140 million market recovery programme targeting to bring tourists back to Kenya especially from top source markets including Britain, US, Italy, Germany, France and Canada.
The campaigns that are targeting both traditional and emerging markets are aimed at reviving the sector which recorded low numbers last year.
