A Nigerian consulting firm based in South Africa, Charles Emmanuel Emmanuel David (CEED) , said on Saturday that it was raising $2 billion for the redevelopment of the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos to make it a tourist spot. A new Maputo Bridge and Roads Project, which will offer a link from KwaZulu Natal to Maputo, is expected to considerably boost self-drive tourism between South Africa and Mozambique, according to tour operators. Tourism in the coastal region got a boost on Thursday after the government announced an initiative to attract more visitors that will see hoteliers and tour operators smile all the way to the bank. Air Botswana re-introduces CPT route

Air Botswana will re-introduce its direct route between Maun and Cape Town on March 25. This follows the airline’s cancellation of the service in May, when it re-routed the service via Gaborone. The new Victoria Falls International Airport terminal officially opened to passengers on December 2. It will accommodate 1, 5 million passengers a year, confirmed Airport Manager, Ronnie Masawi.
