Ethiopian Airlines - changes to Los Angeles service from 17 December
Ethiopian Airlines in this week’s schedule update filed additional changes to its Los Angeles operation, from 17th December 2018. The Star Alliance carrier will operate Addis Ababa – Lome – Los Angeles route, including 5th freedom traffic rights on Lome – Los Angeles sector, the first nonstop US West Coast link from Togo. Flight arrival into Los Angeles will move from morning hours to evening as a result.

First direct flight from London to Durban touches down at King Shaka International

Tanzania: Govt to Identify New Tourist Attractions
THE government will continue to identify new tourist attractions in the country with the intention to increase income from the sector, the Prime Minister, Mr Kassim Majaliwa has said. Tanzania: Tourist Arrivals to Reach Over 500,000 By Dec
The number of tourists visiting Zanzibar will most likely surpass 500,000 by December this year, a minister has said. Briefing the media on the first ever Zanzibar Tourism Show 2018, kicking off yesterday, Minister for Information, Tourism and Heritage Mahmoud Thabit Kombo said it was projected that the number of tourists would reach 526,000 this year.

Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it will resume its flight to Mogadishu, Somalia, effective 2 November 2018. Talking about the resumption of the Mogadishu flights, Tewolde Gebremariam, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, said: “It gives us a great pleasure to resume flights to Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia after stopping the service over four decades ago. Tanzania: Z' Bar to Host Tourism Promotion Show

Seychelles via Addis Ababa to become a daily connection in December 2018
From the 14th of December, Ethiopian Airlines raise their flight frequencies from six per week to a daily service. The service is operated by a Boeing B737-800 aircraft and the additional flight will cover the Friday gap which presently exists.

The UK aid project will launch investigations, seize assets and train law enforcement in East and Southern African countries and will be the largest known project of its kind to crack down on financial crimes associated with the illegal wildlife trade in the world.

New Cape Town bus routes to connect key tourist areas
As from Saturday 27 October 2018, there will be changes to some routes for MyCiti, including new route numbers. New bus stops will be introduced where routes have been extended to meet the passenger demand, and some underutilised stops will no longer be served. Many routes will also be replaced with new direct routes to popular destinations.

Zambia: Government aims at expanding tourism resource base
