African Protected Areas Congress: A Watershed Event For Africa's Parks And Wildlife

The first African Protected Areas Congress is scheduled to convene in Nairobi, Kenya, from November 18-23. The International Union for Conservation of Nature-World Commission on Protected Areas has partnered with Kenya’s Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife and a broad range of conservation groups to organise and facilitate this gathering. The official kickoff of the Congress is Valentine's Day, and is being tagged "For The Love Of Nature."

KTF Statement on Kenya's Repeat Presidential Election 01 Nov 2017

Following the Supreme Court ruling on the 1st September which annulled the presidential election results of 08 Aug 2017 a repeat poll was ordered within 60 days and the same was conducted on the 26 Oct 2017. As you may be aware by now and with reference to our last update the main opposition party boycotted the repeat polls.

KQ eyes New York in debut direct flights


Kenya Airways is eyeing New York as its first destination when it starts direct flights to the US next year. The national carrier sees the city as a convenient East Coast aviation hub to mark its entry into the US, before spreading its wings across the world’s biggest economy. The airline, which last week received regulatory approval to operate direct flights to the US, also estimates that it will move 60,000 passengers in its first year of operation on the route.
